Reporting to the Head of Life, the successful candidate will become part of a newly created specialized team that is responsible for the structuring, onboarding, and monitoring of bespoke and complex life transactions. Our reliability and the cooperation with our client-facing experts, which are specialized in traditional and non-traditional life reinsurance solutions, are the keys to our success.
Your responsibilities
- Provide support to the marketing, pricing and onboarding teams during the new business acquisition process
- Participate in client meetings and strategic projects
- Analyse appraisal reports, transaction documents, and policy data
- Generate cash flow projections for new life reinsurance transactions
- Perform risk and profitability analyses of life insurance and reinsurance products and in-force portfolios
- Develop appropriate reinsurance solutions encompassing accounting, regulatory and economic risk transfer aspects
- Contribute to the approval and onboarding of transactions
- Monitor performance of existing and newly onboarded transactions
- Collaborate with other teams like risk management, reserving, operations and accounting
Your profile
- University degree in mathematics, actuarial science or a related field
- Experience in life insurance or reinsurance, investment banking or financial institution consultancy
- Experience in pricing and structuring bespoke reinsurance contracts or in insurance mergers and acquisitions (e.g. Mass Lapse, Earning Stabilisation, Reserve and Capital relief etc.)
- Knowledge of international accounting and regulatory frameworks in the context of the life insurance industry (CH and US jurisdictions are a plus)
- Proficient in developing practical and efficient solutions from theoretical knowledge
- High degree of personal integrity and strong sense of responsibility
- Creative and open to new approaches
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in English
