About Our Company: HSB is a leader in equipment breakdown insurance, speciality coverages, inspection services, and engineering-based risk management for business, home and farm. Our Loss Prevention team is dedicated to identifying and mitigating risks, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team.
Job Summary: As a Loss Prevention Intern, you will support the Loss Prevention team by focusing on encouraging clients to implement recommended solutions, verifying the implementation of corrective measures, analyzing potential risks, developing strategies to mitigate losses, and implementing programs to protect our assets. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in loss prevention, risk management, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Follow up on Loss Prevention Reports (LPRs), evaluate photo evidence submitted for compliance, and issue subsequent LPRs
• Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential loss exposures
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop strategies to minimize losses
• Participate in team meetings
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager
Requirements:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and analyze data
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with internal stakeholders

Work Schedule: The work schedule will be part-time, 20 hours per week.
