Munich Reinsurance Company of Australasia Limited (MRA) is the APRA authorised life insurer in Australia. MRA is part of the wider Life Asia Pacific division, with its hub in Singapore. The purpose of the business is to drive sustainable life insurance with our clients for our community.
You will provide dual support to the Life Claims and Analytics & Insights team as required. The Life Claims team is responsible for claim portfolio management within MRA and supports its clients with claims assessment, associated technical support and training.
The Analytics & Insights team collaborates with internal teams locally and globally to deliver assumptions and insights. This is achieved through traditional actuarial practices as well as the development of innovative tools that leverage Generative
Your Role:
Primary Position Objective: As a senior claims professional in the Life Claims team, you will serve as a key relationship contact for cedants, playing a critical role in ensuring strong cedant claims management capabilities, technical expertise, and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive business growth and success. Working with the senior claims project consultant in the Analytics & Insights team, you will assist to develop and implement GenAI solutions, coordinating with other claims resources to ensure seamless integration and smooth delivery of claims-related activities within these projects.

MRA Claims Portfolio Management:
- For individual claims under your oversight, deliver claims technical advice that balances MRA technical and cedant client centricity expectations, and LICOP obligations
- Leverage internal resources, such as MDT, CMO, and Legal, to support optimal claims outcomes
- Ensure effective portfolio management, including appropriate follow ups and touchpoints, handbacks, management of caseloads, and uplift in capability of cedants through coaching and influencing
- Share claims scoring results with cedants, and implementing initiatives to resolve systemic opportunities
Client Service and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide cedant(s) with claims technical support including uplift in cedant claims management capabilities
- Develop and maintain strong external relationships with clients, providing high-quality, timely service and support
- Ensure individual SLA’s are met, which may include attendance in client office
- Demonstrate a culture of client centricity, understanding of challenges, and develop/ implement initiatives that support clients 'on the ground'
- Coordinate with other resources and teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth delivery of claims-related activities within various projects.
Claims support for AI solutions:
- Review and provide constructive feedback on the outputs of GenAI claims solutions to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate with data scientists on refining and improving claims assessment prompts to enhance the precision and effectiveness of AI-driven evaluations.
Your Profile:
- Insurance Industry Accreditation preferred
- 8 years+ experience in claims management with a proven track record of delivering claims technical advice with a customer centric mindset
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices in claims management and client service
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex claims portfolios and identify areas for improvement
- Managing and addressing stakeholder concerns with a focus on understanding their needs and providing effective solutions
