Join us this Summer for our Structured Internship Program from May to August 2025. In addition to gaining valuable work experience alongside industry experts, you will also benefit from ongoing engagement, career development and networking activities.


You will be part of Munich Re’s Asia Pacific Marine Unit in Singapore and will be providing valuable support to the marine team in their projects, particularly the Marine Static Risk Register. You will also be working closely with the Senior Actuary who will coordinate your day-to-day activities.
 

Your Role:

  • You will assist in updating the Marine Static Risk Register, which includes collating, cleansing and geocoding risk addresses.
  • You will assist in researching for industry statistics and information to provide invaluable insights to our day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • You will provide support in actuarial activities including pricing, portfolio-related analysis and updates of rating tools.
  • You will assist in task / projects led by the Senior Actuary in the APAC Marine team.
  • You may assist in preparing materials for the Marine team in their presentations (internally or externally).
  • You will learn about the reinsurance and insurance business, and will interact regularly with underwriters at the Munich Re Singapore office.

 

Your Profile: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or other related business disciplines
  • Prior experience in programming in R and /or Python will be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Possess eagerness and willingness to master new tools and technologies such as Power BI, ArcGIS etc. 
  • Continuously push your boundaries and step beyond your comfort zone

  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written business level)
