Description: 
As Senior Actuary, you have a progressive and results-oriented mindset, coupled with excellent stakeholder management skills and in-depth knowledge of regional life and health insurance products, markets and risk management practices. You are recognised as a trusted expert and valued contributor by clients and colleagues. You work collaboratively with your team to be highly regarded by both internal and external clients.

Your Role

  • Reviewing Terms of Trade (ToT) for key Life & Health product lines and markets, including standard assumptions, pricing approaches and reinsurance structuring guidelines customised by product and market.
  • Developing Terms of Trade (ToT) for new strategic initiatives such as longevity and other large transactions.
  • Defining Life & Health risk limits and risk appetite boundaries.
  • Updating internal stakeholders annually on the performance of Life & Health portfolios and sources of actual versus expected variance.
  • Developing and maintaining Life & Health reinsurance treaty and contract wordings, including GenAI-enabled search and review tools.
  • Developing tools and methodologies for experience studies and reviewing studies performed.
  • Developing predictive analytics tools and methodologies to improve risk analysis, including detailed claims data analysis.
  • Conducting special projects, such as strategic reviews of specific markets and products.
  • Researching and developing insights on complex topics, including behavioural science and policyholder behaviour.
  • Presenting at actuarial conferences, sharing research insights across topics primarily related to biometric risk thought leadership.
  • Championing a results-focused, collaborative culture.
  • Travelling to local offices and clients across APAC and MEA countries.

Your Profile

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in actuarial pricing or valuation across the APAC and MEA regions.
  • University degree holder with a professional actuarial designation such as FSA, FIA, FIAA or DAV.
  • Sound knowledge of life and health reinsurance products across APAC and MEA regions.
  • Deep experience in setting and reviewing actuarial assumptions.
  • Strategic mindset with creativity and the ability to lead through complexity.
