The Regional Financial Planning and Analysis team is part of the CFO function and primarily supports financial analysis, forecasting and planning for Non-Life reinsurance business, under the management view. The team is regularly interacting with senior stakeholders by providing timely and strategic impulses driven from a Finance perspective. The Team is responsible for Non-Life businesses in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa regions. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to core reinsurance accounting processes, operational governance, and process enhancement initiatives across traditional and digital finance platforms.
As an intern, you will support in regular closing activities and lead initiatives to digitalise and automate quarterly closing quality assurance, enhance management dashboards, and explore how AI can be embedded into daily operational workflows. You will work closely with finance professionals and gain hands‑on exposure to modern finance automation practices.
We are seeking interns available for a full-time commitment from May to December 2026 only – please apply only if you can commit to this period.
Your Role
- Support the automation and enhancement of quarterly closing quality assurance (QA) processes, including control checks, monitoring, and issue tracking.
- Support in providing timely and meaningful analysis of business and cost results, including relevant drivers and new segments against plans and the agreed business cases.
- Support technical quality assurance activities across the region.
- Support the preparation of Annual Business and Expense Plan.
- Facilitate and coordinate discussions relevant stakeholders for technical portfolio review and cost forecasting/budgeting.
- Preparation, presentation and interpretation of management reports with the aim to support more informed decision-making.
- Actively participate and collaborate in designing efficient reporting & planning processes in cooperation with internal stakeholders (e.g. RIC and Central Reserving).
Your Profile
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in automation, data analytics, and AI applications in business or finance contexts.
- Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and structured logic; prior exposure to Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Databricks, R, Python, SQL, or similar tools is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving and attention to detail.
- Proactive, curious, and willing to explore new technologies and ways of working.
- Able to communicate clearly and collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
