You will join our team as a Business Analytics Intern, where you’ll become part of Munich Re’s Life and Health team in Singapore.  In this role, you will be using Databricks, Python, SQL, and PowerBI to support projects that transform pricing and monitoring across the region. Your work will result in comprehensive reports and insights that drive organizational decision-making.
 
This internship presents an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, data visualization, and data management, pipeline automation, and GenAI innovation within the insurance industry.

We are seeking interns available for a full-time commitment from May to December 2026 only – please apply only if you can commit to this period.  

Your Role

  • Automate data-driven processes, develop algorithms for data cleaning, and prepare thorough documentation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage and optimize data storage and retrieval using SQL Server, ensuring efficient and secure handling of client and portfolio data for seamless integration and analysis.
  • Create and maintain dashboards using Excel, SQL, Python, and PowerBI to visualize, monitor, and analyze client data, providing actionable insights for business decisions.
  • Leverage Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Azure DevOps to streamline data pipelines and strengthen CI/CD workflows.
  • Prototype and enhance GenAI solutions using our in-house AI platform and APIs, integrating new GenAI capabilities into internal analytics tools and products.
  • Liaise with local offices, resolve issues, and document processes to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.
  • Support the team with ad-hoc tasks, demonstrating flexibility, proactivity, and a problem-solving mindset.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics etc. with a strong foundation in data analysis.
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL, and data analysis automation, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in data visualization tools, particularly Power BI, for creating compelling reports.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach, committed to continuous learning, and possessing a positive attitude.
