Description: 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Life and Health Valuation team in Singapore. The team oversees the valuation, reserving and regulatory reporting for Life and Health business of Munich Re Singapore branch, covering both global and local valuation bases including Solvency II, HGB, MAS and IFRS (9 and 17).

Reporting to the Head of Munich Re Singapore, Valuation, you will lead a team to ensure sufficiency of MAS and HGB reserves and analysis of the local IFRS17 and RBC2 reporting.

Your Role

  • Leading and guiding a team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of results
  • Quarterly and annual local IFRS reporting for Singapore
  • Quarterly and annual RBC2 reporting for Singapore
  • Propose MAS assumptions for Singapore business (e.g. PAD and expense)
  • Perform MAS Stress Test, ORSA, and Capital Planning for Singapore branch
  • Support Valuation Enhancement projects
  • Work closely with external teams (e.g. Finance, FinRe and Risk Management) during quarterly and annual reporting

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Has at least 5 to 8 years of valuation experience.
  • Has experience in MAS reporting
  • Qualified Actuary (newly qualified are welcome to apply)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to lead a team independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Able to prioritise tasks effectively and manage deadlines effectively
  • Proactive in improving processes and enhancing result accuracy
  • Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), VBA, SQL and database management systems
  • Knowledge of IFRS17 standards, FinRe business and/or AXIS would be an advantage
