You will join Munich Re’s Life and Health Southeast Asia team in Singapore as an Actuarial Intern from January to May 2026. 

In this role, you will be using SQL to transform, process, and analyze client bordereaux data. You will ensure data integrity through thorough quality checks and cleaning, and manage data storage and retrieval for optimal accessibility. Your work will result in comprehensive reports and insights that drive organizational decision-making.

Your Role

  • Analyse treaty terms and product features, perform reconciliations, and transformations, to ensure data quality through comprehensive checks, and cleaning, thereby supporting inforce portfolio management
  • Maintain data quality through comprehensive checks, cleaning, and reconciliation, supporting inforce portfolio management and pricing analysis.
  • Utilize insurance knowledge to map and standardize client-format portfolio data onto the organization's system, ensuring consistency and integrity.
  • Conduct ad hoc investigations, including premium reconciliations and providing management information for experience investigations.
  • Liaise with local offices, resolve issues, and document processes, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation
  • Lead the onboarding of new treaties into the KTM system, ensuring accurate configuration, data consistency and validation of results, and assist in generating value-added analysis.

 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, with a strong foundation in data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous and patient in dealing with large datasets
  • Proficient in Excel and SQL, with experience in automation, and a strong emphasis on data management and data analysis
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance principles and products is preferred
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous learning, with a positive attitude
