Actuarial Intern, Group Life

The Munich Re Group Life team provides comprehensive pricing, underwriting, and technical support to clients across Southeast Asia, helping insurers deliver competitive and sustainable group employee benefits solutions.You will support our pricing, ongoing portfolio monitoring and accounts reconciliation functions.

We are seeking an Intern available for a full-time commitment from May to December 2026 only – please apply only if you can commit to this period.

Your Role

• Assist with performing pricing and risk assessment of group schemes
• Perform reconciliations of premium and claims bordereaux submitted in accordance with treaty terms
• Assist with data transformation, modifying existing Excel spreadsheet/ SQL codes to support premium and claims calculation, running software to support the validation and reconciliation of numerical results
• Development of database for portfolio monitoring

Your Profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Data Analytics
• You have a basic understanding of key actuarial concepts.
• You are familiar with basic actuarial tools including Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), SQL, and R
• You are analytical, investigative and possess good problem-solving skills
