This position will be responsible for supervising the tax provision, returns, reporting and compliance functions. This position will report to the Tax VP and support the overall tax function of the MAHC Corporation affiliated group. The Tax Accountant Sr will also assist the Tax Manager on any strategic projects or compliance related work and will be responsible to review federal, state, foreign and state tax returns and provisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or detail review federal and foreign income tax returns.
- Prepare and/or detail review state and local income and premium tax returns.
- Prepare and/or review various state and local non-income tax returns.
- Prepare and review research or tax issues and tax planning alternatives relating to the
- above returns.
- Prepare and/or review international tax filings.
- Manage tax audits of the affected returns
- Prepare and/or review federal current and deferred tax provisions under on an IFRS, GAAP, STAT and SII basis and assit with the analysis and preparation of reporting packages for review by management/leadership team
- Prepare and/or review tax reporting packages for Munich Re Tax Department.
Your Job

- Prepare and/or review tax reporting packages for Munich Re Tax Department.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA, MBA, or MS Tax degree preferred
- Tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax department. Insurance experience is a plus
- Working knowledge Excel
- Working knowledge of computer income tax preparation program
- Strong Analytical ability
- Strong tax research and communication skills
- 7+ years’ experience
The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s Princeton, NJ location.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $104,200 - $150,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton, NJ. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
