Duties: Design, implement and manage infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation to automate the deployment and scaling of cloud resources. Build, maintain and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using AWS CodePipelines, AWS CodeBuild and other tools to ensure efficient, automated software releases. Design end to end deployment design keeping in mind industry best practices like High Availability and Disaster Recovery. Set up and manage monitoring solutions using various services like Amazon CloudWatch, Heap Analytics. Ensure robust security practices by implementing AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, security groups, IAM Roles and encryption protocols and perform regular vulnerability assessments. Manage and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), ensuring seamless orchestration, deployment and scaling of container service. Work closely with various software development teams to optimize application architecture, troubleshoot deployment issues, and improve system performance and reliability. Optimize system performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks in infrastructure and application layers, levering AWS performance tools such as CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray. Continuously monitor AWS resource usage and recommend cost-saving measures by leveraging AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor and implementing auto-scaling of services. Provide day-to-day operational support of AWS environments, troubleshoot infrastructure or application issues, and perform root cause analysis of system incidents.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field plus 7 years of experience as a Sr. DevOps Specialist, Software Engineer or closely related position. Prior work experience must include: Using Amazon Elastic Container Service to manage and deploy Docker Containers, ensuring applications are containerized for scalability and reliability across environments; Developing serverless functions with AWS Lambda, triggered by EventBridge events and scheduling automated tasks or processing real-time data without managing servers and human intervention; Automating infrastructure provisioning with CloudFormation, creating secure VPCs to organize network configurations and ensuring secure resource isolation; Monitoring application logs and setting up CloudWatch Alarms to alert on performance metrics or error thresholds, maintaining application health and proactive incident response; Managing CI/CD workflows using CodePipeline and CodeBuild services to automate build, test and deploy processes, enable rapid and reliable software releases; Configuring find-grained IAM Policies, securing access control across AWS resources, ensuring compliance with security best practices; Managing databases in RDS and writing SQL Queries for data handling and analysis, maintaining data integrity and availability; Developing applications or scripts using Python & JavaScript, integrate with AWS services or handling backend processing tasks as needed for the project; and, Writing SQL Queries to fetch data from databases and generate reports.
