Duties: Build the automated data pipelines for strategic projects and tactical projects. Build ad-hoc data pipelines for analytics use cases/MVP projects. Create data wrangling/curation process for structure and un-structure data. Calculate H3 indexing and Wildfire hazard potential risk score for benchmarking. Validate data for both external and internal datasets. Develop Power BI dashboards visualization for finance projects and descriptive analytics projects. Closely align with Global Data Engineering team and IT for tools and technologies. Mentor the junior data engineers and interns. Request projects access and authorization via Identity Access Management (IAM) tool. Provide data/technical solutions to business teams. Collaborate with senior management and other teams (like IT, Analytics, Business Units) to set objectives and strategies. Communicate results and business impacts of data initiatives to stakeholders and executives.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Information Technology or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience (or a Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience) as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Analytical Engineer, Application Development Analyst or closely related position. Must have at least 1 year of experience in the insurance industry. Experience must include: Data Provisioning/Data Pipelining with Azure Cloud technology, Databricks and Data Modeling; Data Product Development in Insurance and Re-insurance domain knowledge and Power BI Visualization Dashboard; and, Data Engineering Consulting with Big Data & Analytics Platform and compliance. Telecommuting permitted. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $169,541 to $169,541 per year plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
