About the role

As an Business/System Analyst, you will be supporting the identification, analysis and preparation of explicit and implicit stakeholder requirements and providing functional support for business processes and software during deployment. You will be responsible for analyzing the requirements together with business representatives and creating possible solutions that will solve problems or add additional value to the end customer, both for new and existing products/softwares.

 

How you will get the job done

  • following up on legislative changes at the USA market. Review regulatory requirements on regular basis and monitor its adoption in insurance industry
  • developing regulatory domain knowledge to serve as SME/advisor for stakeholders
  • providing guidance on regulatory requirements and best ways of its adoption based on thorough analysis of large amount of data
  • identifying vulnerabilities based on internal audit results and analyse how to address them
  • driving complex regulatory projects in IT Security area with the project team
  • collaborating with internal ERGO partners to troubleshoot project planning issues
    facilitating design, planning, and implementation workshops with internal and external stakeholders
  • proactively managing project risks and issues; developing effective mitigation/treatment plans
  • preparing project correspondence, as needed, for status reports, executive updates, meetings, annual planning, etc.
  • creating and delivering presentations that effectively convey complex information to stakeholders
  • managing communication across cultures and within a virtual working environment
  • work outside of standard working hours may be necessary due to the team operating across different time zones, including the Eastern Time Zone of the USA
  • coordinating the completion of analytical and change requests documentation on time to ensure the project continues to align with the agreed schedule
  • traveling to our European locations of ERGO may be required

 

Skills and experience you will need

  • experience in regulatory reporting (e.g. Basel, BaFin, KNF, GSI, ESMA)
  • thorough knowledge of regulations and IT security requirements
  • proficiency in English (German is a plus)
  • strong track record of working in regulatory projects in a large, complex environment, in a global Finance/Insurance or regulated industry (5-7+ years)
  • strong management skills including project management, business analysis, security requirements analysis, financial management, change management and facilitation
  • excellent analytical, documentation and organization skills
  • ability to understand and redesign processes and key controls
  • excellent project planning, budget, scoping, costing, and scheduling ability
  • board level presentation skills
  • ability to drive a mixture of functional and geographic workstreams and co-ordinate step change delivery to the business in a unified way
  • experience in managing distributed teams and able to work in a matrix setup
  • proactivity, ownership and can-do attitude
