Duties: Analyze and implement FinOps strategies across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform to reduce cloud expenditure, achieving measurable savings through resource tagging, utilization reviews, and strategic planning. Lead technical reviews of cloud architecture designs to identify cost-saving opportunities, ensuring a minimum 10% reduction in expenses by applying advanced knowledge of multi-cloud environments and Site Reliability Engineering principles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the security posture of 100+ Azure subscriptions by implementing best practices, monitoring compliance, and generating detailed reports using Power Business Intelligence, Kusto Query Language, and Azure Graph Query. Experiment with and integrate artificial intelligence tools such as OpenAI API, GitHub Copilot, and Google Gemini API to enhance cost visibility and utilization efficiency, adapting these tools into daily FinOps processes and workflows. Create and maintain custom cost and performance monitoring reports using Power Business Intelligence, Azure Monitoring, and Dynatrace to provide actionable insights to stakeholders on cloud usage and optimization opportunities. Write and deploy Python, SQL, and Yet Another Markup Language scripts to automate FinOps as Code processes, enabling pre-deployment cost estimation and real-time resource adjustments within Azure DevOps pipelines. Leverage data engineering tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Fabric to process and analyze cloud utilization data, ensuring accurate cost allocation and forecasting for business units.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a closely related field plus 7 years of experience as a Senior Solution Architect, Cloud Architect, FinOps Consultant, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Principal Consultant or closely related position. Employer will accept a 3 or 4 year Bachelor’s degree. Prior work experience must include: At least 5 years of end-to-end implementation experience with enterprise level FinOps projects; Hands-on experience with both Azure and AWS platforms; Monitoring, analyzing and optimizing cloud costs and usage; and, budgeting, forecasting and chargeback/showback models. May telecommute but must have ability to report to Princeton, NJ office 2 times per week.
