GSI Product Owner for Microsoft Dynamics 365 – 6 month, part-time project opportunity  (10-15 hours/week)

Multiple entities across Munich Re use Microsoft Dynamics 365 as their CRM platform and each company has configured and customized its CRM to meet local business needs. To enable a 360-degree view across the organization, the GSI CRM Harmonization program was initiated. This program enables a 360-degree view of broker and client relationships across GSI to improve cross-sell and upsell opportunities, strengthen relationships, and enhance customer retention.  The initiative was identified by GSI leadership as a major Program IMPACT project.

We’re at a critical point in the GSI CRM Harmonization program and we’re looking for a GSI D365 Product Owner to drive consistency and adoption of the enterprise-wide system.  The ideal candidate is someone with a deep understanding of Dynamics 365’s features and capabilities and how those are utilized by the business.  This person will be a bridge between the business and IT—especially regarding integrations.

Under the direction of the GSI CRM Harmonization Program sponsor, the selected candidate will dedicate 10-15 hours per week to this important project through the end of 2026.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Serve as owner of GSI enterprise-wide implementation of D365 and ensure systems deliver expected business benefits and provide efficiencies and ease of use for a good user experience.
  • Advise and collaborate with CRM Stakeholders ensuring alignment to organization strategy.
  • Document detailed requirements/specifications and communicate actively with project and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee the documentation of user requirements, complex business rules, user stories, and tool requirements and support system tests in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders/champions.
  • Facilitate the decision-making process and develop the functional design document that will drive the development process (if modifications/customizations are required, either to processes or to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM application.)
  • Proactively identify continuous process improvements in the various CRM processes and find ways to make the processes work more efficiently for GSI business units.
  • Develop and manage the frequent recurring communication of system status to the project SteerCo, facilitating leadership prioritization discussions and decision making.

Key Experience and Qualifications:

  • Solid technical D365 experience combined with the ability to manage stakeholders with competing priorities effectively and collaboratively.
  • Solid CRM operational project leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong ability to analyze moderately complex problems and break them down into logical parts and offer options/solutions.
  • Ability to interface and effectively collaborate with other product owners, IT resources and project team members to achieve the goals of the GSI Harmonization Program
  • Able to commit up to 15 hours/week through the end of 2026
