The Financial Planning Analyst supports multiple aspects of the annual plan and quarterly forecast process. Responsibilities include supporting US and Munich requirements for the development of the multi-year legal entity view plan and the associated quarterly financial forecasting and analyses for 18 entities, including 6 insurance entities.
Responsibilities
- Support the Annual Plan legal entity requirements for 18 entities, including six insurance entities. Responsibilities to include:
- US and Munich reporting requirements
- Detailed system data requirements for GT, ECON, and TM1
- Data management
- Balance and reconciliation across all entities as well as analyzing results and providing explanations for fluctuations.
- Support the Quarterly Forecast requirements for 18 entities. Responsibilities include:
- US and Munich reporting requirements
- Detailed system data requirements for GT, ECON, and TM1
- Data management
- Balance and reconciliation across all entities as well as analyzing results and providing explanations for fluctuations.
- Prepare and/or assist in the development of various management reports, including quarterly and annual reporting to meet local US and Munich Re requirements. Including capital planning analysis and support.
- Support process improvement and efficiency, including the exploration and testing of new software/systems solutions to enhance workflow and/or end product requirements.
- Partner and communicate effectively with team members as well as the broader FMR community and the Munich-Reinsurance Controlling colleagues.
- Support FP&A Team on various projects, as requested. Special project work can include providing scenario analysis to senior management to inform business decisions.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or Mathematics; CPA or MBA designations preferred but not required.
- 3+ years accounting or finance experience. Knowledge and experience with financial planning and business planning, as well as quarterly forecasting of financial results.
- Familiarity with statutory and IFRS accounting principles; Knowledge of ECON, Global Template, and TM1 preferred. Previous experience within MR Group entities preferred.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, & PowerPoint) required; Proficient with TM1
- Strong data management, reporting, and analytical skills required. Experience with Data Analytics tools, such as PowerBI, highly preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to understand and prioritize requirements and deliver on time.
- Strong team orientation. Good written and verbal communication skills.
The Company is open to considering candidates in Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s Princeton location.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $85,000 - $150,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton, NJ. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
