Associate Immigration Paralegal

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the collection and preparation of business records and documents required to support non-immigrant and immigrant visas submissions.
- Prepare and review visa documentation and correspondence and provide support in drafting, under attorney supervision, related documentation.
- Responsible for the coordination, assembly and submission of visa and green card applications and renewals, responding to government inquiries on applications and communicating directly with those employees with immigration matters including consulate interviews and Requests for Proposals.
- Under the supervision of Lead Immigration Specialist and attorney, manage the employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visa application process from start to finish.
- Interact directly with Human Resources, business manager and foreign nationals on matters pertaining to employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant status.
- Assist attorneys in researching immigration regulations.
- Asist in managing immigration files and related matters.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities
- Intermediate immigration knowledge, at least knowledge and experience with other basic legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills and project management experience; ability to coordinate flow of information within the legal department as well as with outside counsel, counterparties and all other departments in the company.
- Strong working knowledge of immigration terminology and concepts is required. Strong paralegal skills, with polished and professional demeanor;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook, and ability to acquire proficiency with new programs such as an electronic document management system;
- Bachelor's degree and at least 1-3 years of relevant immigration work experience. Experience in an in-house corporate legal department working specifically on US immigration issues or the corporate department of a law firm focusing on immigration required.
The Company is open to considering candidates in Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s Princeton location. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $73,000 - $107,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton, NJ. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
