TM1 Application Developer

Location: Princeton , United States

Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization that delivers services to all Munich Re US P&C Companies and other group entities. This is a hybrid position with 40% to 50% in-person attendance in Princeton.

IT Business Solutions Finance North America (ITM 1.12.3.2) group delivers business value through the management of Financial IT products including implementation of change projects in a disciplined, business focused, engaged and methodical way to the FMR group in Munich Re North America.

As the TM1 Application Developer, you’ll have the ability to make a significant impact to the organization by supporting the digitalization strategy of the Munich Re Group. The objective of this role is to design, develop and implement finance applications, reporting solutions and dashboards.

Job Responsibilities

•     Conducts analysis work to understand business requirements and design solutions to meet emerging business demands

•    In-depth experience and understanding of software development lifecycle

•    Testing and evaluating new programs, reporting tools or finance specific applications to meet finance transformation demands

•   Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing,  upgrading or replacing these programs

•    Implement change requests (minor and major) related to the existing Finance Products

•    General idea of TM1 Security Administration and concept

•     Maintain Production, Development and UAT deployment environments

•  Experience with information security concepts including identity access management, data classification schemas, security awareness and application or server vulnerability monitoring.

•     Contributes to and updates technical documents (e.g., product documentation, technical descriptions, architectural documents, service descriptions, operation manuals, authorization concepts).

•    Analyses of current technical architecture and alignment of new development with MR coding and architectural standards

•    Alignment with Project Management on tactical level and task tracking on operational level using Azure DevOps

•    Collaborate with other teams to integrate systems• 

•    Ability and willingness to develop products with a team approach.

•   Excellent business acumen with ability to easily grasp business topics and to view and present IT information with a business perspective in laymen’s terms.

•    Ensure compliance with ITIL practices: incident, problem, and change management.

Technical skills or comparable experience

• • TM1, IBM Planning and Analytics, PAW, PAX
  • MS Excel/Access, VBA, Macros
  • SQL, Database: SQL server (Stored procedures, SSIS, SSRS)
  • Azure DevOps
  • BI Platforms (MS Power BI, SAP BO/BI, or Tableau)      
  • Service Now

Education or comparable experience

●        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology

●        5+ years’ experience in IT application development using agile methodology and tools

●        5+ years’ experience with application development tools and programming languages.

●        Demonstrable track record of successful product implementations that delivered value to the business.

●        Experience in finance applications and insurance business preferred.

The Company is open to considering candidates in Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s Princeton location.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $86,600 - $127,100 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.  In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). 

The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
