The Manager & Actuary plays a significant role in pricing of Inforce and M&A transactions for Munich Re Life US.

 

 

Your Job

 

 

Support the evaluation, structuring and pricing of inforce and M&A reinsurance opportunities:

 

 

  • Perform diligence on appraisal and other process documents
  • Support deal structuring to provide bespoke solutions for capital and risk optimization
  • Run deal models to assess various transaction opportunities in the block reinsurance space
  • Partner with asset-intensive reinsurance players across the industry to enable and facilitate deals 
  • Develop pricing assumptions to provide appropriate views into the performance of the subject business
  • Build AXIS models that produce various product cash flows (e.g. UL, WL, Term)
  • Run AXIS pricing model projections, analyze and summarize results
  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset: challenge processes, accelerate timelines, and push for continuous innovation

 

 

Your Profile

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Accounting
  • 5+ years actuarial employment in the life insurance/reinsurance industry
  • FSA designation required
  • Asset intensive reinsurance experience preferred
  • Pricing and product development experience a plus
  • Moody’s Axis experience preferred

For New York City based employees, the base salary range anticipated for this position is $178,945 - $197,782, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
