Director – Product Manager

We're seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the next evolution of our risk assessment platform. Our platform combines cutting-edge technology, sophisticated data science, and deep underwriting expertise to revolutionize how insurers evaluate and manage risk. In this role, you'll shape the future of digital underwriting by driving innovations that make risk assessment more accurate, efficient, and data-driven.

Your Job:

  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in risk assessment workflows and market dynamics, becoming a trusted authority on our product's capabilities and industry context
  • Gather a deep understanding of customer challenges through research and regular interaction with clients and internal partners; translating their complex problems into actionable questions for the team
  • Articulate and evangelize the product vision to stakeholders at all levels, from engineering teams to prospective clients
  • Execute product strategy and translate strategy into a focused roadmap for our end-to-end risk assessment platform, balancing customer needs with technical scalability by utilizing quantitative and qualitative product management techniques 
  • Own the product discovery process, conducting market research and gathering insights from customers to inform product decisions
  • Lead the prioritization and execution of the product backlog, ensuring delivery of high-impact features that strengthen our market position
  • Partner closely with engineering teams, particularly the technical lead, to ensure successful implementation of product initiatives
  • Effectively demonstrate the product's value proposition through compelling demos to prospective clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate across departments (Sales, Customer Success, Engineering) to align on product direction and manage dependencies

Your Profile:

  • 4+ years of product management experience
  • Strong technical expertise, engineering experience considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of modern software development lifecycle, the product operating model, and product management techniques
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to any audience.
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally through influence, rather than authority
  • A track record of delivering concurrent, complex, high-quality complex projects on time. Demonstrated focus and attention to detail
  • Resourceful, creative and motivated to learn quickly and solve challenging problems.

For New York City based employees, the base salary range anticipated for this position is $208,000 – $241,000 plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
