Against this backdrop, we are looking for a Data Product Manager who will lead the creation and operation of internal data products that support Underwriting and Claims Excellence for our Specialty Insurance teams in the US and London.
The position is part of the central Data & AI team, reporting to the Munich Re Group Chief Data & AI Officer, and will collaborate closely with the Data & AI teams in each Specialty Insurance Business Unit, as well as with the Underwriting and Claims teams and Group Technology.
YOUR JOB
- Shape GSI’s GenAI and data strategy by identifying key focus areas, prioritizing use cases, and defining implementation roadmaps.
- Identify and translate the data requirements of the central Underwriting and Claims teams to support oversight and advance underwriting and claims excellence.
- Design logical and conceptual data models based on a core set of critical data elements.
- Operate effectively in a global environment, collaborating with teams that support different segments of the Specialty Insurance market across the US and Europe.
- Drive adoption of existing GenAI capabilities, data products, and data platforms among relevant stakeholders, ensuring their value is clearly understood and widely realized.
YOUR PROFILE
- At least 3 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a comparable role in an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of data and AI products, including the ability to assess GenAI use cases and work effectively with data models, platforms, and integrations such as APIs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences and clearly convey data uses, limitations, and business value.
- Solid understanding of P&C reinsurance or insurance business; knowledge of US specialty insurance is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
- Entrepreneurial and customer-focused mindset, with the ability to define strategic goals, translate business requirements into solution concepts, and advance use cases from concept to implementation.
This role is located in the Princeton or New York City office.
The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Princeton (NJ) and remote. The salary range posted below reflects market variations across various locations. The offer will be adjusted per geography.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $106,500- $155,900, plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate is adjusted to reflect the varying market conditions across different locations. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
