Our division has the global responsibility for direct credit risk within Munich RE Group being the “One-Stop Shop” solution provider and first port of call for all top-notch Financial Institutions in their core activities (markets, products, asset classes) for their capacity and capital management needs. Our solutions cover single risk and plain-vanilla portfolio solutions in our Global Credit Solutions team as well as highly structured portfolio solutions in our Structured Portfolio Solutions team.
The active development and implementation of innovative or new risk transfer solutions often is driven by regulatory developments, new clients or the expansion of our existing solutions to new products, markets, or regions.  This expansion is key for our future profitable growth. Therefore, we are building up a group of dedicated senior experts/specialists for Structuring, Legal, Model-ling & Project Management, following up on suitable opportunities, and developing scalable solu-tions for the respective business owners. This will also include a pilot phase with several suc-cessful transactions.
The advertised position is for a Senior Client Manager focused on driving initiatives from a busi-ness perspective and with significant credit solutions structuring know-how.

 

Your tasks:

  • Prioritizing and steering the business development portfolio in close alignment with the re-sponsible business units and the department head in all relevant business segments;
  • Driving business projects to develop "new for MR" or innovative solu-tions/products/coverage concepts, until “proof-of-concept” during a pilot phase;
  • Deep understanding of credit markets & products, to be able to quickly judge potential opportunities on their attractiveness (scalability, profitability, etc.);
  • Structuring solutions in close interaction with potential or existing clients and/or internal/ external stakeholders under risk-return, regulatory, accounting and tax considerations;
  • Coordination of the necessary internal approval procedures (e.g., New Product Process, submissions to the board, risk or other relevant committees/ decision makers);
  • Current areas for business development or exploration include:
    • Expansion to further markets by licence expansion and/ or fronting agreements;
    • Expansion to new products (e.g., develop solutions for Asset-Based Finance, etc.);
    • Exploration and development of syndication/ co-capacity structures;
    • Development of solutions for non-bank FI clients;

 

Your assets:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economy, Mathematics or Natural Sciences;
  • Many years of professional or consulting experience in credit business (banking, credit fund, structured funded or unfunded insurance solutions);
  • Deep understanding of all relevant financing and credit markets via concrete business experience and relevant education (e.g., CFA);
  • Good understanding of Banking regulation;
  • Highly independent, solution-oriented/ deal-driven working style with strong intrinsic moti-vation;
  • Sound project management & project portfolio steering skills, analytical strengths as well as client centric thinking;
  • Excellent social, presentation, negotiation, and moderation skills;
  • Experience in leading people also without authority (e.g., in agile project teams);
  • Fluent English; command of German desirable.
