Description: 

Central Reserving (CR) uses quantitative and qualitative methods to perform and oversee the loss reserve analyses for Munich Re’s group-wide property and casualty business. This includes continuous monitoring of the group’s reserve position, and the further development of actuarial methods, the underlying systems and tools.

 

The department Global Process Owner within Central Reserving is responsible for the provisioning of high-quality data,  reserving products, tools and analyses to the global reserving community. The focus is on the consolidation, simplification and automation of processes and tools to support one global reserving process across all reserving entities in the group.

 

To complement our team of experts, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are motivated to contribute towards the implementation of a reserving system landscape and who are highly interested in understanding reserving processes in order to transfer them into technical solutions.

 

Please note that this position is limited for 18 months (fixed-term contract).

 

YOUR JOB

  • Deliver high-quality reserving-relevant analyses, reports, and data to support actuarial decision-making.
  • Develop and enhance existing reserving systems to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and automation of actuarial analyses and reporting processes.
  • Provide user support and guidance for global reserving data, tools, and processes to ensure consistency and usability across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the global reserving community to facilitate the implementation and effective use of standardized reserving processes.

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree with quantitative focus (e.g. mathematics, actuarial science, information technology or economics)
  • Proficiency in developing tools based on cubes (e.g., TM1, SSAS) desirable
  • Experience in statistical programming languages (e.g., R or Python)
  • Knowledge of SQL and Power BI desirable
  • Experience in RI loss estimation or similar actuarial functions (for example from Reserving, Pricing, Underwriting, Risk Management)
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent command of English, good command of German desirable
