The section Platform Integration is the business owner of the technical infrastructure of LH6.3, the so-called Hedging Platform on Cloud (HPoC), which is a multi-instance system architecture in the public cloud subject to high-availability requirements in the context of capital market trading. The team organizes the administration of the platform, translates business requests into technical requirements and supervises their implementation in order to fit the needs of the business. The team also supervises the services delivered from external providers, which includes the continuous monitoring of the system and business-related technical processes in place, the organization of release processes, and project work. 
We are seeking a Senior Trading Technology Specialist for the Platform Integration unit. The function is part of the internal business support team within LH6.3.4, with core responsibilities in the area of functional and technical support processes around the trading system Calypso. 

 

Your tasks in the section will include:

  • Coordinate and support on-boarding of reinsurance trades into the customized Calypso architecture used by LH6.3, in particular system configuration and batch schedules
  • Analysis and implementation of new business requirements when embedding new processes or reinsurance/hedge asset types into the system
  • Documentation and handover of new standard routines in Calypso to 1st level support
  • 2nd level support and analysis of any kind of misbehavior in the system, both from a business and a technical perspective based on 1st level support by external provider
  • Setup and maintenance of homegrown data flow functionality. This includes ongoing reviews of the new functionality to help to improve data flow.
  • Design, perform and document tests in the context of Calypso or 3rd party component releases or infrastructural changes  
  • Proactive proposals for and in some cases implementation of enhancements of the Calypso set-up with the objective of improvement of stability and performance, reduction of operative risks and raising efficiency
  • Cooperation with Trade Support: intraday performance troubleshooting and knowledge transfer
  • Cooperation with Development Team with regard to customization of Calypso
  • Support the section head in coordination of major technical activities or projects

 

Your Profile:

  • University degree in informatics, mathematics, business informatics or comparable qualification
  • Extensive experience in translating business requirements into functional requirements (e.g. in a previous role as business analyst in the area of capital market trading)
  • A proven track record in the usage and administration of Calypso
  • Proven experience with the setup and administration of batch scheduling systems (e.g. Dollar Universe or Stonebranch)
  • A high degree of IT affinity, ideally including coding skills e.g. in java, SQL or R
  • Experience with bug tracking/development tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or HP Quality Center
  • Basic knowledge of life insurance and standard products in capital markets
  • A service oriented attitude and a high devotedness to support internal customers
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
  • Foreign languages Fluent business German and English
