This role will be part of Chief of Staff Tower (IT 1.1) for Global Technology at Munich Re Group, which ensures that our technology solutions align with the business strategies of ERGO, Global Specialty, MEAG, and Reinsurance. The team drives strategic transformation, oversees financial planning and reporting, and ensures global IT governance and legal compliance across all entities.
Within Group Technology, the (Junior) Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of communication initiatives for our global IT community across Munich Re and ERGO. The role focuses on driving effective internal communications, ensuring alignment with Group-wide standards, and supporting project delivery for key initiatives such as intranet’s development, newsletters, and leadership events.

Your Job:
- Support the coordination and delivery of communication projects within Group Technology (e.g., intranet, newsletters, town halls, and leadership conferences).
- Assist in planning and tracking project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure on-time execution.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate the publication of internal communications content (e.g., intranet articles, leadership messages, event announcements).
- Provide operational support for Group Technology events, including internal Town Halls, Leaders’ Calls, and Conferences.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT Leadership, HR, Group Corporate Communications) and external service providers (event agencies, translation servies, consulting) to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, and communication archives.
- Monitor communication activities, track engagement, and contribute to impact assessments.
- Ensure all communication activities comply with the Group corporate communication guidelines and support the overall Group Technology strategy.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Initial professional experience in communications, project management, or related functions, ideally in an international corporate environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German proficiency is considered a significant asset.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and familiarity with digital communication tools (SharePoint, intranet platforms, MS Teams, social media).
- Detail-oriented, structured, and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Interest in technology and the digital transformation of large organisations.
