for the division of the Group Chief Investment Officer (Group CIO)
Group Investment Management (GIM) is responsible for managing the proprietary Munich Re and ERGO investment portfolio of around €250bn. Within GIM, overarching investment related tasks are consolidated in the Investment Monitoring & Operations department. The Business Strategy & Operations team focuses on business strategy and management topics and strives to translate initiatives into scalable and sustainable solutions.
We are looking for the head of the team.

 

YOUR JOB

  • Lead and further develop the Business Strategy & Operations team, ensuring ideal working culture and driving talent management
  • Manage the process to develop and track GIM’s strategic initiatives, leveraging them as key enablers to achieve the GIM Ambition 2025+ goals
  • Leading organizational, as well as processual change projects and run initiatives across the investment value chain
  • Develop GIM’s IT roadmap and manage its implementation (incl. budget management)
  • Act as point of contact for new products and manage & further develop the New Product Process (NPP) 
  • Support business management activities (e.g. contract management)


YOUR PROFILE

  • Excellent academic education. Additional qualification (CFA or other) is preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience, preferable in an investment management unit
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and process optimization
  • Experience with leading teams and ability to perform excellent stakeholder management
  • Fostering an open culture that promotes regular and timely feedback and development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and inform strategic decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
