The Subsection BS RI P&C Solutions holds the worldwide IT account management for our Non-Life Reinsurance Underwriting as well as the responsibility for maintenance and development of the corresponding IT systems, in particular the SAFIR (Spatial Analytics for Insurance Risks) Product Portfolio which provides geo data services and applications.

 

To complement our team of recognized IT and Data experts, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual. You will develop and grow our global application landscape for our Non-Life Reinsurance Underwriting together with the business in a highly changing IT landscape.

 

Your Job:

  • Collaborate on the evolution of SAFIR geospatial applications using agile methodologies.
  • Create, refine, and manage Data Models for geospatial information (vector data, raster data, hexagons, etc.)  to ensure data consistency and accuracy and handle them by using state of the art practices.
  • Develop and deploy efficient data processing workflows, including data transformation pipelines, to support geospatial data management.
  • Maintain data integrity throughout the data life cycle, leveraging cloud-based data infrastructures like Azure for scalable and secure data management.
  • Oversee the strategic direction and implementation of our ArcGIS Product Suite, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and FME.
  • Develop and implement automated data workflows, ensuring seamless integration and compliance within a highly regulated IT environment.

 

Your Profile:

  • Technical expertise and experience: Bring a strong foundation in geospatial data, with a university degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience working with geospatial data, including vector data, raster data, and hexagons, using state-of-the-art practices.
  • Data modeling and analysis skills: Possess a deep understanding of (GEO) Data modeling concepts and techniques, including data warehouse and transactional data modeling, and have experience with analysis, preparation, transformation, and quality assurance of (geo-)data using ArcGIS Product Suite, FME, or comparable technologies.
  • ArcGIS and geospatial expertise: Have experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal and ArcGIS Server), publishing and hosting web map services and web apps, and be familiar with integrating Geo Data in an enterprise environment built on Azure infrastructure.
  • Programming and database skills: Possess good knowledge of programming languages like Python, SQL, and PowerShell, and have experience working with databases such as MSSQL Server and PostGIS.
  • DevOps and data flow expertise: Have a good working knowledge of DevOps, Testing, Operating, and Optimizing complex data flows, and be willing to familiarize yourself with missing IT topics or geographical aspects.
  • Team player with a positive attitude: ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams, build strong relationships, and maintain a positive and constructive attitude in the face of challenges and setbacks.
  • Adaptability and flexibility: ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven and motivated: strong desire to deliver high-quality results, meet deadlines, and exceed expectations.
