Our IFRS 17 Cross-Functions team in Reinsurance Accounting is responsible for the IFRS 17 data management for our Property & Casualty and Life & Health business globally. The unit interfaces with experts in several accounting, actuarial and controlling functions worldwide. We are coordinating Group-wide IFRS 17 closing and reporting activities. As first point of contact, the team resolves technical questions, applies quality assurance of data and ensures timely and accurate end-to-end processing. The department carries the product ownership for IFRS 17 relevant system components (SAS-, SQL and SAP-based) and manages the respective requirements to develop our system landscape. Additionally, the team is supporting automation initiatives within Reinsurance Accounting by developing and maintaining tools, reports and processes for other teams.

Your Job

  • Developing and maintaining reports/processes to check the data consistency in the entire IFRS 17 chain
  • Maintaining and optimizing an automated process for IFRS 17 master data / configuration updates
  • Setting up a fully automated IFRS 17 closing monitoring and process monitoring process
  • Identifying and supporting the development of automation opportunities in the IFRS 17 environment
  • Assisting the centralization of IFRS 17 relevant reporting activities
  • Assisting in meeting audit requirements
  • Driving automation within Reinsurance Accounting
  • Assuming leadership and responsibility for specific topics

Your Profile

  • Studied business administration, economics, information technologies, mathematics or a degree in insurance business administration
  • Good understanding of data processing, data analytics and data management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact in a project setup within the reinsurance group
  • Excellent command of English; German language skills are an advantage
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
  • Willingness to accept and implement challenging topics in a dynamic environment
  • Power Platform and in particular Power BI (Power Query M, DAX)
  • SQL (MDX is a plus)
  • Azure DevOps is a plus
  • SAS, SAP HANA, SAP BW, R (shiny), Appian, ADF or SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus
  • Accounting experience (and especially specific IFRS 17 experience) is a plus
