The Data and Analytics division is Munich Re's hub for Data Analytics and AI. It drives Munich Re’s AI strategy, is responsible for the key enablers data, skills, and technology, and coordinates Data Analytics and AI projects to create value for our core business.
The Central Analytics department drives strategic initiatives in Data Analytics and AI, enables business & central functions through training and technology, supports Data Analytics & AI (use cases), and further develops the Insurance Analytics Platform that provides scalable Data Analytics & AI solutions according to the needs of our core business functions.
We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable consultant for our Central Analytics team to support us in coordinating and executing these activities.
Your Job
- Driving strategic initiatives as well as concrete use cases in the area of Data Analytics and AI
- Supporting strategic decision making and strategy development based on a deep understanding of Data Analytics and AI methods and technology in the context of Munich Re’s business model and company strategy
- Consulting internal clients (central and business units) in (re)insurance analytics and AI and conducting own analyses
- Representing the department and our key topics vis-à-vis internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying and prioritizing training and technology needs in Data Analytics & AI
- Further developing the global Data Analytics and AI community by extending networks, spreading of knowledge and driving systematic exchange
- Identifying future trends in Data Analytics and AI and evaluating their impact for (re)insurance
Your Profile
- University degree in data science, statistics, stochastics, information technology, or an equivalent area of studies; PhD is a plus
- Profound professional experience as a strategy consultant dealing with different internal and external clients
- Deep understanding of modern data science and AI methods and their application in (re)insurance as well as related technology
- Experience in the (re-)insurance industry is a plus
- Track record of successfully leading critical projects; proven ability to deliver results quickly
- Strong client focus and ability to manage international stakeholders with heterogeneous background and on various hierarchy levels (incl. senior management)
- High level of strategic thinking, quick perception of new complex contexts and problem-solving capabilities
- Outstanding, communication, presentation, consulting, and project management skills; excellent command of English; knowledge of German is a plus
- Very high level of commitment, creativity, willingness to travel, and eagerness to work in an international and highly dynamic environment
