Munich Re's Central Life Reserving (CLR) division oversees the reserving and financial reporting within the Life and Health Reinsurance Portfolio. Our team plays a crucial role in Life and Health Reinsurance’s success by providing reliable valuations and insightful analysis. Over the next few years, a key task for the CLR 1.2.2 Systems and Development team will be the further development and automation of the global valuation, analysis and reporting platform VITA together with other CLR units and the local valuation teams.
In this role you will be responsible in driving the further implementation of the VITA platform and will report to the Head of Systems and Development.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic about driving forward his/her career in an inspiring environment where actuarial, data analytics and IT topics meet each other. You will have a solid track record in one of these topics and be passionate about developing the others as well as working in agile projects with a diverse international community of highly qualified teams.

YOUR JOB
- Driving the development of the project VITA for both actuarial analyses and reporting requirements focusing on IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 and potentially further reporting metrics
- Defining the product requirements and details them in collaboration with other subject matter experts/topic leads on the team by creating required business and/or technical documentation to support product needs
- Implementing the requirements incl. testing, documentation and deployment
- Developing client requirements by using the VITA technology stack (Databricks, Python and PowerBI)
- Testing application enhancements or modifications, supporting the VITA users
- Leading or supporting other IT-related projects and tasks for the department
YOUR PROFILE
- University degree in mathematics or information technology or a similar qualification with a strong quantitative focus
- An actuarial background and/or proven experience within valuation is an asset
- Proficiency in relational databases and data analytics tools, excellent knowledge of data models and data structures
- Technical expertise in the data domain with hands-on experience in developing Azure Databricks, PowerBI, Python, SQL.
- Excellent organization, planning, documentation and proven experience with agile project management practices such as MR Essentials
- Strong customer focus and ability to both give guidance and support effectively different stakeholders of various professional backgrounds
- Excellent command of English
