Liability and Cyber Underwriter

The position is responsible for underwriting liability and cyber reinsurance business in line with the underwriting authorities and client strategies; manage the existing portfolio and develop new business opportunities for India.
Your Role:
- Ensure high-quality technical underwriting Liability & Cyber treaty and facultative business, including premium calculation and stipulation of reinsurance terms & conditions in accordance with underwriting guidelines, internal rules, authorities, targets, and client strategies.
- Handle underwriting related tasks including filing, documentation, referral, renewal update and planning, etc
- Provide renewal underwriting support in other markets if needed
- Monitor market trends and performance; draw applicable insights of current & emerging risks
- Collaborate with Client Management on client relations, identifying and developing new business potential and new clients in Liability & Cyber
- Prepare, present, and deliver customized solutions to clients and prospects, advancing our product and service offerings through collaboration and knowledge exchange.
- Compile, implement and execute Liability &Cyber strategy, client and market strategies (in close collaboration with Client Management and Regional Underwriting teams)
- Participate in seminars, events, and conferences, act as a trusted market and thought leader in Liability & Cyber. Contribute to both internal and external knowledge exchange
Your Profile :
- MBA (preferably in Insurance) or Associate member of Institute of Actuaries of India or UK or CA or CS or ICWAI or Fellow member of CII/CPCU or University degree in IT security or computer sciences, other technical degree or university degree, economics, law, or other, IT-security certifications, e.g. CISSP, or similar
- Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably in liability & cyber line of products
- Knowledge of statistical modelling
- Knowledge of Excel application and Excel based tools
- Problem solving and solution-oriented skills (incl. understanding of numbers and data structuring)
- Good statistics/data warehouse and MS office applications knowledge
- Strong team player with own initiative combined with a willingness to assume responsibility
- Good interpersonal skills
- Eager to explore new topics and knowledge
- Excellent spoken and written business English essential
