Description: 

Lead and manage the Group Life business for Munich Re India, focusing on employer-employee and affinity segments along with other short-term (yearly renewable) business.

  • Responsible for profitable growth, strategic direction, and operational excellence of the Group Life portfolio
  • Responsible for the effective client portfolio management and profitability performance of target client's portfolios.
  • Focus on strategic client acquisitions and develop client service strategies.

 

Your Role: 

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve profitable growth in the Group Life segment (employer-employee and affinity business).
  • Drive acquisition and retention of group clients, ensuring high service standards and innovative solutions.
  • Monitor and manage portfolio profitability, risk, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (actuarial, underwriting, claims) to deliver client-centric solutions.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and emerging market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Represent Munich Re in industry forums and client meetings as a subject matter expert for Group Life business.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

 

Your Profile: 

Education:

  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance or equivalent
  • Professional Qualifications: MBA or equivalent master’s degree in Sales,
  • Completion of a few actuarial exams is an advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing group employer-employee and affinity business in life insurance/reinsurance.
  • Proven track record of managing group business profitably.
  • Strong leadership, client management, and business development skills.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and a highly entrepreneurial mindset.
