Munich Re’s MGA/TPA Claims team is responsible for managing and monitoring primary insurance claims portfolio. Your role will encompass a diverse range of activities, including managing individual claims, monitoring and analyzing claims portfolios, performing audits, and collaborating with Underwriting (UW) to develop new business and enhance portfolio performance.  You will have the opportunity to help drive the digital transformation claims management and support new business initiatives to ensure that MR Claims achieve their Ambition 2025+.

We are looking for our Italian Claims Team a Claims Consultant who will be responsible for handling, supervising and monitoring of claims of different lines of business, with a focus on Motor. The role requires a understanding of insurance-related legal procedures, Italian regulations and claims processing.

YOUR JOB

  • Interact and communicate with outsourcers and other parties involved in claims processing, reviewing provided information regarding the nature of claims and other pertinent facts;
  • Analyze contracts and documentation to determine whether claims are valid based on industry standards and regulations;
  • Review policies and procedures to verify if they are being followed correctly and fairly;
  • Investigate, evaluate and settle claims, applying technical knowledge and negotiation skills to reach fair and prompt claim resolution, develop resolution strategies;
  • Recommend and maintain appropriate reserves;
  • Review insurance claims, identifying errors, and making recommendations for changes;
  • Ensure compliance with claims guidelines, controls and reporting, including adherence to Group guidelines;
  • Support underwriters in products development and pricing;
  • Monitor and analyse KPIs

 

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree (in law degree will be considered a plus) or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2 years or plus of experience as an insurance claims adjuster or claims examiner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power BI) and other relevant computer applications.
  • Analytical skills, strategic thinking, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Self-motivating, and preparedness to take ownership of project execution.
  • Good negotiations and conflict solving skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written business Italian and English (further languages are an advantage).
