Senior Product Architect

We are seeking a proactive, commercially savvy, and analytically strong actuary to join our dynamic Proposition Development team in LH1.2 in Madrid. As a Product Architech, you will play a key role in designing innovative Life & Health insurance solutions tailored to the evolving needs of markets and clients in Latin America and Southern Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of product design, analytics, and strategic market insight within a collaborative and forward-thinking regional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Innovation: Conceptualize and develop cutting-edge Life & Health insurance products in collaboration with Business Originators and cross-functional teams.
• Actuarial Analysis: Perform detailed actuarial calculations to define product coverage, underwriting criteria, and pricing structures.
• Governance & Risk: Drive the internal product approval process, ensuring compliance with Risk Management protocols and company standards.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze product trends and competitive landscapes in Latin American and Southern European markets.
• Internal Networking: Build strong connections across Munich Re’s global entities to exchange best practices and leverage internal product innovation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Lead product presentations and negotiations with clients, including insurers, brokers, and insurtech partners.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze post-launch product performance and recommend enhancements to optimize results.
• Data Tools: Use Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI for modeling, reporting, and presenting insights to various stakeholders.

Your Profile:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in an actuarial role within the insurance or reinsurance industry, ideally with product development exposure.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of Portuguese or Italian is a strong asset.
• Tech Skills: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
