This position manages the full claims lifecycle, ensuring accurate bordereaux control, timely data recording and tracking, identification of backlogs, and the escalation of any claim exceeding €100K to the country claims team.
This role will initially support the Country Claims Manager in Spain, with the potential to extend operational support to lead business and other countries. The role will contribute to metrics and SLA excellence, operational resilience, and a collaborative working environment, ultimately delivering a best in class claims service to external and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Claims Processing and Delivery
• Manage the end to end processing of claims below €100K across all Lines of Business, ensuring accurate data entry, documentation, and full lifecycle tracking
• Oversee the complete bordereaux control process, including reconciliation, monitoring, and identification of missing or delayed bordereaux
• Liaise proactively with the various leaders to resolve questions or discrepancies related to bordereaux, and maintain a structured repository capturing each leader’s specific requirements
• Escalate any claim exceeding €100K to the relevant country claims team in line with established protocols
• Ensure timely, accurate, and evidence based processing aligned with internal quality standards and SLAs
• Prepare for expanded responsibilities as the company begins to operate as lead, including FNOL management, registration, and adherence to company defined SLAs
Stakeholder Management
• Support Country Claims Managers to meet their operational and strategic claims objectives.
• Collaborate with Head of Claims Transformation to ensure alignment with MRS-GM Claims Operations frameworks, requirements and quality delivery for the portfolio.
• Work closely with Operations, Credit Control and Finance on bordereaux reconciliation, supporting both teams in resolving discrepancies and providing clarification when needed.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and timely issue resolution.
Claims Capabilities
• Support the development and enhancement of claims processes, systems, and tools to strengthen operational efficiency.
• Ensure consistent application of claims handling standards, methodologies, and best practices across all Lines of Business
Knowledge and Skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Claims Operations or in similar operational/analytical roles
• Fluent Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus (e.g., Italian, German)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, detail oriented and a naturally curious problem solver
• Fair, adaptable, and approachable
• Comfortable working in fast paced, multinational environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
