Title: Financial Reinsurance Market Advisor

Financial Reinsurance is a global strategic initiative located at the core of Munich Re‘s 2025 Ambition. The initiative combines corporate finance, accounting, actuarial science, and regulatory expertise to provide our clients with reinsurance solutions that help them meet their financial and strategic objectives.
As part of this global initiative, a fully dedicated unit was created in 2021 with the scope of defining, executing and monitoring the financial reinsurance strategy for our Life and Health clients in Southern Europe and Latin America.
Following the consolidation and recent success cases of the unit, we want to keep increasing our impact for Munich Re and are looking for a Market Advisor that will provide relevant market intelligence, best-in-class executing capability and excellence on all relevant commercial and technical topics. You will work in a talented and high performing team that is fully committed to meeting the unit’s ambitious business expectations.
Your Job:
- Developing a complete and transversal understanding of regional financial reinsurance markets, supporting the regional commercial strategy
- Being responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market action plans for specific markets in the region
- Establishing and managing a deep and extent market network
- Leading and executing financial reinsurance opportunities on an end-to-end basis, including development and/or management of structuring tasks
- Identifying existing commercial/technical improvement areas and defining potential solutions
- Driving internal and external positioning with relevant stakeholders
- Participating in regional/global projects and working groups across MR
Your Profile:
- Sound technical/business university degree with an economic or mathematical focus
- +8 years of professional experience in insurance/reinsurance actuarial valuation fields
- Professional experience in actuarial/insurance advisory services is a plus
- Market-facing experience with extended capability to deeply understand clients’ needs
- Knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II as well as structuring capital management solutions
- Excellence in working collaboratively and efficiently in often virtual and international group dynamics
- Result-oriented mindset combined with out-of-the-box thinking and organizational strength
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English
