This role will be part of the Corporate Functions Tower for Group Technology ( IT 1.12), which oversees IT service delivery and manages key relationships across all corporate and central units, including Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, Services/Facilities, and Procurement. The Tower also manages cross-functional domains such as document management, collaboration platforms, corporate websites, and Group-wide Identity Access Management (IAM), as well as selected central platforms and Regulatory/Integrated Risk Management (IRM) product delivery.

As a Technical Architect you will create, iterate, and maintain technical and data architectures. In this role, you will ensure a high quality technical system design which supports system performance, at optimal operational cost under the circumstances of flexibility and future change.

Your job

  • Take over the technical architecture responsibility as well as supporting the entire lifecycle process for all ServiceNow based end products for our internal customer of Central Procurement (CP) and Real Estate Services (RES). These end products are based on App-Engine technology and Workspace Service Delivery (WSD)
  • Drive from a technical architecture perspective the development, testing and implementation of business requirements, leveraging existing architectural patterns whenever possible, and reporting on delivery commitments to ensure capabilities are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes
  • Ensure adherence to appropriate standards (performance, monitor capability, patterns, audit acceptability, secure environment), compliance to regulatory requirements (VAIT) and a balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements
  • Provide support to solution architects as needed on both transform projects and throughout the lifecycle of the product
  • Work with enterprise architects to ensure that project designs and solutions are prepared for review at the EA solution design forum
  • Identify opportunities and suggest improvements to the strategic, core and support processes of the business functions as needed and uses appropriate tools - including logical models of components and interfaces - to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas
  • Work with other members of the team, key stakeholders and strategic partners to define requirements and identify solutions consistent with defined scope, methodology, and technology
  • Build partnerships at multiple levels within the company, including within the architecture community
  • Analyze business/project requirements and demand across the value chain and in alignment with the enterprise architectural roadmap, providing key analytical skills to enable business problems to be understood and the subsequent requirements for IT systems to be documented, tested and delivered.

Your profile

  • University degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT or similar field
  • 3+ years of experience in a fast paced, global and regulated business environment and several years working on software development projects as a developer and architect and hence in-depth knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product lifecycle
  • 5+ years of experience with proven ServiceNow architecture, admin and development skills, ideally already with ServiceNow WSD and App Engine technology
  • In addition to the ServiceNow expert level garnered knowledge of cloud / service-based architecture based on MS Azure technologies (ADLS, ADF, Data bricks,…)
  • Understanding of service-driven and integration architectures and in API technologies and governance: REST APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, Swagger and associated authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, TLS) and strong experience in data architecture and design with various database technologies, e.g. SQL Server, NoSQL, Data Lakes
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies, e.g. JavaScript, Angular, React, jQuery.
  • Experience with DevOps principles and best practices, preferably with Azure DevOps and Git - source control, branching, merging and code reviews.
  • TOGAF certification as preferable
  • Preferably, you are already ITIL certified or have the readiness to pursue one with our support  
  • Experienced managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints and able to estimate the financial impact of architecture alternatives
  • Demonstrated a strong proficiency in architectural standards, methodology and design, with the ability to conduct design reviews and lead process flow analysis and process re-design
  • Willingness to travel as required in execution of responsibilities
