The GPO Life Global Accounting Governance, Processes and System Oversight team (RIA1.5.5) is a center of competence in RIA Life & Health committed to establishing and maintaining efficient, standardised global accounting processes and systems as well as ensuring robust corporate governance.

 

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to strengthen our team in this interesting and dynamic environment. As a consultant, you are responsible for the maintenance and development of the global RI accounting systems. You will support the global user community within the Life and Health accounting organization to solve complex system issues, particularly related to SAP FPSL. You will also act as the main interface on these topics  to the IT departments based in Munich.

 

 

 

Your Job

  • Play a key role providing RI accounting system support and oversight globally, particularly for SAP FPSL.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure consistent SAP FPSL system usage globally.
  • Coordinate the system requirements process (incl. all testing activities) from an accounting perspective and ensure the correct and timely implementation of feature and change requests.
  • Support the quality assurance activities by developing and implementing reporting functionalities and  performing technical validation checks.
  • Represent RIA1.5.5 in alignment meetings with Central Life Reserving (CLR), Reinsurance Accounting Non-Life (RIA NL) and the respective teams within Financial & Regulatory Reporting (FRR).
  • Participate in overarching and group wide projects and working groups.
  • Conduct internal and external trainings on system related accounting and closing topics.

 

 

 

 

Your Profile

  • Qualification in Information Technology or Business Administration or a degree in insurance business administration
  • Several years of relevant experience in system administration or accounting
  • Very good knowledge of SAP-Accounting Systems (e.g. SAP FPSL, ideally also GT & ECON) and Business Warehouse Solutions, e.g. EDWH, including mass data extractions and transformation
  • Willingness to learn new system applications (e.g., SAP-Analytics Cloud, PowerBI)
  • Interest in accounting topics, especially related to IFRS17
  • Willingness to accept and implement challenging topics in a dynamic environment
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills, eagerness to tackle and illustrate complex issues
  • Interest in participating in global projects and collaborating with colleagues globally
  • Well-presented with a confident demeanor, and the ability to work diplomatically and constructively with interface functions
  • Very good planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent command of English
