Description: 

Group Investment Management (GIM) is responsible for managing the proprietary investment portfolio of Munich Re and ERGO with a volume of approximately EUR 250 billion. Our section is responsible for the operational cash management of Munich Re AG. 
 
Your Job

  • Independently execute operational cash management with a focus on Munich Re AG and Great Lakes entities 
  • Perform daily cash positioning in euros and foreign currencies, including ensuring appropriate liquidity steering and short-term investments 
  • Handle international and domestic payment transactions while carefully assessing risks within the Munich Re Group 
  • Execute intra-group FX deals 
  • Assume functional responsibility for the implementation and steering of cash management projects 
  • Maintain and continuously develop internal documentation from a conceptual perspective 
  • Maintain ongoing communication with international and domestic banks 
  • Process bank statements and perform reconciliation and posting of incoming and outgoing payments, including maintenance of posting rules 
  • Maintain group-wide bank master data in accordance with internal policies 
  • Serve as a point of contact for complex internal and external inquiries 
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities 
  • Provide functional guidance and day-to-day support to Cash Managers, including knowledge transfer within the team 
  • Actively contribute to the design and optimization of operational cash management processes 
  • Work closely with team management and actively support steering topics and special initiatives 

Your Profile 

  • Degree in business administration or a comparable completed commercial qualification in a finance or banking environment, with at least five years of relevant professional experience, ideally with a focus on cash management or treasury 
  • Very strong technical expertise in the efficient use of SAP modules and MS Office 365 applications 
  • Solid understanding of local and international standards in global transaction banking is an advantage 
  • Experience in providing functional guidance to colleagues, combined with strong teamwork skills and a high willingness to build, maintain, and share knowledge 
  • Strong process and quality awareness 
  • Highly resilient personality combined with strong prioritization and communication skills 
  • Decisiveness paired with a willingness to take responsibility 
  • Intercultural competence in developing and strengthening international interfaces across Munich Re globally 
  • Strong service orientation 
  • Analytical and conceptual mindset with a careful and systematic working style 
  • Very good command of spoken and written English and German
