To strengthen our Integrated Risk Management team, we are seeking a Risk Manager in Munich as part of the global Great Lakes Integrated Risk Management function. The position reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer of Great Lakes and will work in close collaboration with other departments across Great Lakes as well as the Munich Re Group Integrated Risk Management team.
Your Job
- Coordinate Great Lakes’ annual and ad-hoc ORSA processes, including leading Stress and Scenario Testing and preparing the ORSA report
- Prepare the quarterly Risk Report, monitor risk triggers in line with the Risk Strategy, and provide risk-based business steering advice to the Board of Management
- Contribute to regulatory reporting (Annual Report, Regular Supervisory Reporting, Solvency and Financial Condition Report) for all risk management sections
- Maintain risk governance standards by updating documentation and approval procedures
- Fulfill regulatory requirements and respond to studies from EIOPA and other relevant regulators
- Support the validation of the Internal Capital Model
Your Profile
- University degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or an insurance-related field
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, Solvency II, and other regulatory frameworks
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and transparently
- Experience with regulatory reporting and submissions (advantageous)
- Collaborative mindset with proven experience working in a matrix international team
- Fluent English and at least advanced German skills
