Munich Re’s division Transformation & Organization (TO) drives the delivery of the group-wide transformation agenda and enables sustainable operating model evolution across Reinsurance & Specialty. Within the transformation journey, process excellence is of very high importance. The Process Design team is an integral part and facilitates Munich Re’s process excellence and transformation by supporting business and central units with excellent Business Process Management capabilities, driving process optimization, and leveraging Artificial Intelligence as well as further levers to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

We are looking for a highly-motivated Project Manager to strengthen the team in this demanding task.

Your Job

  • Actively contribute to TO Agenda and transformation journey with focus on Business Process Management
  • Design Munich Re’s process architecture by profiling high-level processes and define their process strategies using this as a basis for the identification of optimization potential (process, AI, location strategies/shoring)
  • Manage process optimization projects, i.e. model current processes, analyze pain points and identify improvement opportunities by applying process analysis and creativity techniques
  • Define target pictures, esp. “to-be processes”, with process owners to support business in eliminating effort and complexity drivers; thereby also rethinking existing business processes to fully leverage potential of AI and new technologies
  • Enable process owners to conduct a continuous process management
  • Challenge application specifications in terms of process fit and process maturity, e.g. by performing gap-analyses
  • Actively contribute in identifying opportunities (e.g. moderation of workshops, analysis and documentation) thereby driving the overall transformation journey of Munich Re
  • Support definition, documentation and implementation of a Munich Re specific framework and methodology for process optimization
  • Conduct trainings for our process management tool ADONIS as well as support business units in case of methodological/tool-related questions 

Your Profile

  • Deep expertise in Business Process Management methodologies with a proven track record of leading complex process analysis (quantitative/qualitative) and optimization initiatives 
  • Sound understanding and hands-on experience with digital technologies such as AI, Data Analytics, Process Mining, Workflow tools, and RPA 
  • Extensive experience in leading large/cross-functional projects in the context of process optimization and automation
  • Entrepreneurial and highly self-motivated personality with a strong ambition to drive change
  • Strong team play and personal integrity, highly developed soft skills, especially strong communication, networking and intercultural skills 
  • Outstanding analytical, conceptual and problem-solving capabilities combined with a structured and pragmatic approach
  • Relevant (re-)insurance industry experience with a profound understanding of (re-)insurance business models and processes 
  • Excellent language proficiency in English
