Description: 

The Global Processes & Tools team within Global Procurement Excellence at Munich Re drives the standardization, automation, and digitization of procurement processes. As the owner and operator of the group-wide Coupa platform, the team plays a key role in enabling global service delivery and operational excellence. In close collaboration with global and regional procurement teams, it fosters continuous improvement through smart tool usage and strong process governance.

As a Procurement Excellence Consultant with a focus on digitization and automation, you will contribute to the digital transformation of global procurement. You will contribute to initiatives that optimize and automate processes, implement innovative tools and AI use cases, and bridge the gap between business and technology in a highly collaborative global environment.


Your Job

  • Actively drive global transformation initiatives focused on procurement process standardization and digital enablement
  • Conduct process analyses and maturity assessments to identify optimization and automation opportunities
  • Support the identification and implementation of automation and AI use cases across procurement
  • Design and implement IT solutions, including system integrations within Source-to-Pay processes
  • Develop and roll out process standards, KPIs, training, and supporting digital tools
  • Work in agile project teams, manage work packages, and support system customization
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from Procurement, IT, Finance, HR, and Legal
  • Ensure regulatory and policy compliance while promoting best practices in digital procurement

Your Profile

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field with a focus on Procurement or Digital Transformation
  • 3–6 years of experience in Procurement, Consulting, or Digital/IT projects with a procurement focus
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, digital tools, and analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI)
  • Hands-on experience with Coupa platform implementation and administration (Coupa Platform Certification)
  • Familiarity with Coupa web APIs and middleware integrations
  • Solid project management skills, both agile and traditional
  • Interest in automation and AI technologies and their application in Procurement
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
