Description: 

The Munich Re Global Real Estate and Services division sets the direction for the management of all aspects of corporate real estate and employee services across the regions for Munich Re offices.

Global Corporate Security is responsible for the protection of employees, sites and assets worldwide. The department works closely with integrated risk management, the business units and the regional organizations of Real Estate and Services to develop and implement risk-based measures and procedures and monitor their effectiveness.


Your Job

  • Develop and maintain global physical security policies, standards, and processes in line with regulatory and international requirements
  • Manage and steer external security service providers
  • Define and oversee contract scopes, performance, and budgets for external partners
  • Build strong partnerships with vendors to ensure consistent service quality and target achievement
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including follow-up and remediation measures
  • Oversee global physical security operations, including access control, CCTV, and visitor management, ensuring compliance with corporate standards
  • Ensure effective incident management, reporting, and follow-up in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Lead and support global security initiatives and projects, ensuring effective and sustainable implementation
  • Optimize processes and workflows and contribute to the continuous development of global security concepts


Your Profile

  • University degree in security management or a related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate physical security, ideally in an international environment
  • Proven experience managing external security providers, including contract governance, performance management, and service delivery oversight
  • Strong background in contract management and service delivery oversight
  • Professional certifications in physical security, security management, risk management, or crisis management are advantageous
  • Solid understanding of security technologies, particularly access control and CCTV systems
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment
  • Business fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
