In the Division Reinsurance Controlling (RIC), the responsibilities of controlling and management reporting are bundled together to ensure a uniform controlling process. RIC advises the Reinsurance Committee (RVA), RI-CEO and the RI-CFO in respect of the current economics of the Reinsurance Segment and proper allocation of resources.
RIC1.4 acts as the Global Process Owner for expenses and is responsible for budgeting and cost allocation processes. RIC1.4.1 is in charge to provide all relevant information and analytics to senior management, especially the Reinsurance Committee and the Reinsurance CFO, to steer the expense base in the business field reinsurance (outside IT). This especially includes the management of the annual expense planning and monitoring processes as well as various ad hoc analysis and presentations. Due to the numerous interfaces involving the division and its involvement in the financial statements, the unit provides an excellent overview of current projects and reporting processes.
We are looking for a highly motivated and committed Junior Controller to report to the Head of Section “Global Expense Controlling & Analytics” within our hybrid working environment. 


Your Job

  • Coordinate and support annual cost and personnel planning processes
  • Prepare quarterly cost reports and provide year-round cost controlling support to business areas
  • Collaborate closely with business units and controllers to identify trends early and develop appropriate recommendations
  • Contribute to the harmonization and further development of global cost controlling processes
  • Assist in driving automation and digitalization of systems, tools, interfaces, and processes to enhance cost accounting efficiency


Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, completed with above-average results
  • Initial professional experience (up to one year) in controlling or accounting, ideally within primary insurance or reinsurance
  • Proven analytical and conceptual skills
  • High level of motivation and commitment, combined with strong client and service orientation
  • Confident and reliable manner, able to work effectively across international and cross-functional interfaces
  • Excellent communication skills with a clear stakeholder focus
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written; German language skills are an advantage
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SAP-CO, Business Objects (BO), Power BI, and Power Apps
