Geo Risks focuses on developing and evaluating models for risk analysis of natural hazards and assessing damage from natural disasters. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our team in the field of hydrological risks.

 

Your Job

•    Assist in the development of flood damage models
•    Participate in projects with hydrological research questions 
•    Perform programming tasks, data research, statistical analyses, graphical representation of analysis results, documentation of work steps and tools development, research of scientific papers

•    Duration 6 months full-time (37 hours per week)

 

Your Profile 

•    Studies in Hydrology, Geosciences, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field 
•    MS Office, English
•    Excellent knowledge of MATLAB or similar programming languages; experience with GIS software; familiarity with the GIT environment is a plus
•    Basic knowledge on statistics and data analytics 

 

Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit.
