This role will be part of the Corporate Functions Tower for Group Technology ( IT 1.12), which oversees IT service delivery and manages key relationships across all corporate and central units, including Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, Services/Facilities, and Procurement. The Tower also manages cross-functional domains such as document management, collaboration platforms, corporate websites, and Group-wide Identity Access Management (IAM), as well as selected central platforms and Regulatory/Integrated Risk Management (IRM) product delivery.

Sub-section ITM 1.12.3.2 is accountable for the development and operation of applications supporting the Central Reserving Department and the Global Reserving Platform.

Also, we strive for a high degree of automating core processes to drive the digital transformation of Munich Re Group using newest Technologies to assure quality at minimum cost. 

 

Your Job

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation like project charter, risk and status reports to monitor project progress and ensure transparency.
  • Document status updates for work items in the backlog and analyze project data from Azure DevOps using MS Excel and Power BI.
  • Organize meetings, manage schedules, and create PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate project updates and key findings to management.
  • Promote Agile practices and principles within the team, fostering a culture of transparency, inspection, and adaptation.
  • Monitor team velocity and burndown charts to ensure goals are met and to drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required to support team objectives.


Your Profile

  • You are a pre-master’s student in economics, mathematics, engineering, or business administration with a quantitative, analytical, or technological specialization, and an excellent academic record.
  • You possess high-level English proficiency skills; German language skills are a plus.
  • You are eager to explore project management roles with a particular interest in Agile methodologies and business analysis, and you can quickly learn and adapt to new concepts, particularly in the areas of project tracking, reporting, and Agile practices.
  • You are a team player with excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills, capable of facilitating meetings, coordinating schedules, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset and are proficient in using tools like MS Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with actuarial or insurance-specific knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • You are available for a full-time, 6-month internship and are required to be present in the office in Munich for the duration of the internship.
