Munich Re's Central Life Reserving (CLR) division oversees the reserving and financial reporting within the Life and Health Reinsurance Portfolio. We ensure consistent reporting, diligent monitoring, and compliance utilizing state-of-the-art tools and technology. Specific topics of the team include the quality assurance and validation of results for North/Latin American and European business units, as well as the consolidation, analyses and reporting of various quarterly and annual valuation results.

 

Your Job

  • Working in the Valuation & IFRS17 Reporting team of Global Oversight
  • Provide technical and actuarial support within a diverse team collaborating across geographies
  • Automate, enhance and document processes and controls needed to enable results analysis for IFRS 9 and IFRS17 as well as Solvency II
  • Automate, enhance and document processes and tools for management reporting under IFRS17
  • Support enhancement of guidance provided for the areas within the responsibility of the team
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improved efficiency and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives

 

 Your Profile

  • Currently studying towards a University Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards for insurance contracts is an advantage
  • Strong software skills and technical proficiency with Excel/VBA, SQL, PowerBI, Python, etc. is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills, combined with ability to present complex matters in a simple way
  • Highly organized and independent with strong time management skills
  • Very good command of spoken and written English

 

Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
