Within our dynamic environment, the GFL LH Team – IO Collaboration and LH Accounting Guidance (RIA 1.5.3) is responsible for interfacing with international Life and Health accounting departments, providing accounting support, and overseeing local technical accounting processes.

Your job
- Leading and building a team of 8 skilled and motivated financial accountants and senior financial accountants
- Establishing close ties with international offices (IO), manage the Global RIA LH Community and the organization of the Global RIA LH Board
- Leading the development, enhancement and enforcement of the LH accounting work instruction framework, including the quality assurance (QA Essentials) framework for technical accounting and IFRS 17
- Coordinating the accounting part of the IFRS 17 closing process within the LH segment in close collaboration with local accounting departments by ensuring high quality figures and timely deliveries for the LH segment towards the upstream processes
- Providing high-quality accounting support
- Fostering strong team relationships by being approachable and supportive, effectively delegating tasks to ensure a collaborative and productive work environment
- Leading or participating in projects and initiatives
Your profile
- Very good university degree or similar qualification in a quantitative field
- Minimum of ten years of professional experience in the finance department, ideally with a focus on actuarial accounting
- Experience in FMR closing processes and/or respective project management experience
- Good knowledge of IFRS 17 accounting standards and technical accounting processes
- Very good command of written and spoken English; German is a plus
- Distinct willingness for change and overcoming obstacles with high team spirit, enthusiasm and empathy
- Excellent analytical skills, good problem-solving abilities, and conceptual skills combined with the ability to explain complex interrelationships in an understandable way
