The Corporate Office function at Great Lakes plays a crucial role in facilitating and coordinating all meetings of the Board of Management (BoM) and the Supervisory Board (SB). Additionally, the Corporate Office function serves as a central figure in driving organizational efficiency and governance excellence within Great Lakes.
We are seeking a proactive working student to support Corporate Office on the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board matters. Your Job
- Support the preparation of the Board of Management, Supervisory Board, and (Annual) General Meetings (AGM), including schedule, agenda, communication, board pack and following up on post-meeting matters.
- Support drafting and review of governance documents (norms) and processes owned by the Corporate Office to ensure compliance and relevance, e.g., work instructions for updating commercial register.
- Assist with ad-hoc requests related to Corporate Office tasks, e.g., maintaining norms of CEO division.
- Assist the BoM with administrative tasks, including fit & proper checks, passport expiration monitoring, and contract extensions.
- Act as a point of contact for Great Lakes Subsidiary (GLLS) in supporting shareholder consent process.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and collaborate with global teams and international colleagues.
- Support the Corporate Organisation team on ad-hoc topics, where necessary.
Your Profile
- Currently enrolled in studies of law, business administration, economics or comparable;
- Initial experience such as internships in the field of legal and compliance, corporate governance or administrative role beneficial;
- Knowledge of the company law, corporate governance, primary insurance business and regulatory environment is beneficial;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office software (such as Word, Power Point and Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English; German proficiency would be a plus.
Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
